Google Search Console
Google Search Console offers a range of technical seo tools that can be utilised to monitor and optimise faq schema markup, including rich result validation and error reporting, however its primary focus on search engine optimisation may not provide a holistic view of faq schema implementation, potentially neglecting other vital aspects of website optimisation.
Sitebulb
Sitebulb says its Lite plan is designed for freelancers, startups, website owners and web agencies that do not need to run website audits very often. Sitebulb Pro adds audit comparisons, scheduled audits, advanced configuration and customised PDF reports on top of the features in the Sitebulb Lite plan. FAQ schema reporting after Google dropped FAQ rich results
Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in Search on 7 May 2026, and in June 2026 removed the FAQ rich result documentation from Search Central. That changes what FAQ schema reporting can tell you.
- Validity still matters; the rich result is gone. A tool can still check that FAQPage markup is valid and matches the questions visible on the page. It can no longer tell you the markup will earn an expandable result in Google, because that result no longer exists.
- Search Console is not a lasting record. When Google retired other rich result types in 2025, it later removed them from Search Console's rich result reports and the Rich Results Test. Expect the same for FAQ, and export any history you want to keep.
- Report on the page, not the markup. The questions and answers on the page are still content people read. Track the clicks, impressions and searches of the pages that carry FAQs in Search Console's performance report, which does not depend on any rich result.
Should you remove FAQ schema?
Google's announcement retired the rich result; it did not ask sites to remove the markup. Keep FAQs where the questions genuinely help the reader, stop adding them only to win a rich result, and treat any tool that still scores FAQ schema as a rich result opportunity as out of date. If you hear that FAQ markup improves how often AI answers cite you, test it on your own pages before relying on it.
