Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for acceptable use of the Services provided by UtilitySEO Ltd. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. Permitted use
You may use our Services to:
- Analyse websites you own, or for which you have explicit permission from the owner
- Generate SEO and performance reports for internal business use
- Share reports with clients as part of your professional services
- Integrate the Services into your own workflows for legitimate SEO or web development purposes
2. Prohibited conduct
2.1 Legal violations
- Using the Services to violate any applicable local, national or international law or regulation
- Engaging in fraudulent activity, including providing false information at registration
- Submitting URLs that contain or lead to illegal content
2.2 System abuse
- Attempting to exceed the scan limits of your plan through automated requests or account cycling
- Using bots, scrapers or automated tools to circumvent rate limiting
- Creating multiple accounts to benefit from repeated free plan allowances
- Sharing account credentials with anyone who is not the registered account holder
- Probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of our systems without authorisation
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of our Services
2.3 Interference
- Introducing viruses, trojans, worms or other malicious code
- Performing denial of service attacks, or otherwise impairing our systems or other users' access
- Intercepting or monitoring communications not intended for you
2.4 Misrepresentation
- Impersonating any person or entity
- Falsely claiming affiliation with a person, organisation or business
- Misrepresenting the source of any content submitted to the Services
2.5 Connected accounts
- Connecting a Google Search Console property, or any other third-party account, that you do not own or are not authorised to access
- Continuing to use data retrieved from a connected account after your authorisation to access it has ended
2.6 AI features
The AI features send what you enter to third-party providers, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Perplexity. You must not:
- Enter confidential or commercially sensitive information into brand, competitor or keyword fields
- Enter personal data about other people into those fields
- Use the AI features to generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that impersonates another business
Output from AI features may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing it before acting on it or publishing it.
3. Consequences of violation
If we determine, at our discretion, that you have violated this AUP, we may:
- Issue a warning to your registered email address
- Suspend your account temporarily
- Terminate your account immediately without refund
- Report your conduct to relevant law enforcement authorities
- Take legal action to recover losses we have suffered as a result of your conduct
4. Reporting violations
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, report it to support@utilityseo.com. We will investigate and take appropriate action.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP. Changes will be notified in accordance with our Terms of Service, and each version carries a number and date at the top.
